Welcome to our 2025 Academic Symposium e-publication. We truly appreciate your support as we showcase the incredible work of our many Teaching Academy scholars, and continue this work proudly carrying the name of Dr. Patricia A. Tietjen. Dr. Tietjen is remembered as a lifelong learner and teacher, committed to helping Nuvance thrive by leveraging our interprofessional strengths. As a community of educators at Nuvance, the Teaching Academy supports scholars who are passionate about clinical education. They work together in a community of practice to advance their skills as educators and elevate scholarship at Nuvance Health.

Our 2024-2025 Clinician Educator Cohort scholars’ scholarly educational project proposals are proudly featured in this publication. During the academic year, these scholars have participated in an interactive curriculum on essential topics for the clinician educator, with a particular focus on our annual theme, interprofessional education. 

Our 2024-2025 Trainee Track scholars have explored their interest in clinician educator careers within their own community of practice and have partnered across sites and specialties to design a microteaching tool, the JiTT (keep reading more information on this incredible collaboration with our longtime friends and now-colleagues at Northwell Health!).
